Wednesday's Times, referring to the talks said to be under way beween Singapore Airlines and Delta about the possible sale to them of the Singaporeans' 49 % share in Virgin Atlantic says "A deal would give Delta access to lucrative Heathrow transatlantic routes and slots."
Pay attention at the back there. Also attend a remedial arithmetic lesson. 49 % is not a majority . Of itself it would NOT achieve that. To do so would require a further agreement between the purchaser and the holder of the other 51% of Virgin Atlantic.
